Still life composition ‘An accompaniment for life’

Single channel, ProRes422, 1920×1080, 24fps, Stereo sound, 21’5” 2015

Off-screen figures languidly arrange artificial flowers and plants into a traditional still life composition. This artificial flood of greenery evokes the sense of a miniature tomb or personal shrine, the kind a child might instinctively create for the corpse of a dead animal. The camera consistently takes a bird’s-eye view of the ritualistic act.
